Don’t be a helicopter, please. I know you are concerned, and you want to hold your loved one’s hand in the icu, but please step away if the alarms are going off and staff is trying to fix your loved one. Let me do my job. I don’t stand in your way and prevent you from doing your job. I don’t make comments about your inadequacies in your line of work. I don’t pretend to know anything about what line of work entails. Please voice your concerns, I will listen. But please don’t tell me how to do my job. Thank you.
